Unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, the C4 Coupé has been significantly restyled in 2008.

The C4 Coupé was an immediate success in the mid-range segment with its innovative equipment in terms of safety, practicality and travelling comfort.

Sleek styling

The styling of the new C4 Coupé is a blend of power, vitality and elegance. The redesigned bumper featuring an original air intake rises seamlessly into the rounded bonnet with new, more curvaceous and muscular lines.

The C4 Coupé expresses Citroën’s vision of dynamic coupé design. Elegant proportions and fluid lines create harmonious balance and an underlying promise of power. The exterior styling of the C4 Coupé owes its force to the dynamic fluidity of its proportions, which combine a long wheelbase and long front overhang with a short rear overhang.

The C4 Coupé possesses a distinctive style, with a flowing, instantly recognisable profile, and a reverse-sloping rear window with a spacious passenger compartment. And the car’s exterior verve conceals an impressive amount of room inside.

Innovations for onboard comfort and relaxed driving

The onboard comfort of the C4 is enhanced by innovative functions designed for easy, relaxed driving. For example, the fixed-centred controls steering wheel brings the main comfort functions and driving aids within easy reach. The ergonomic and easy-to-use controls make the car a pleasure to drive.

The C4 also features a host of modern and efficient driving aids. The lane departure warning system is a major step forward in driving safety. At speeds of over 80 kph, this system warns the driver if the car crosses a continuous or broken lane marking, when the indicator is not on.

The C4 introduces a range of equipment usually found only further up the market, including Xenon dual-function directional headlamps and front parking assistance. The C4 also ships with a speed limiter with cruise control.

All these advanced functions create a relaxed atmosphere in the passenger compartment, further enhanced by the scented air freshener styled to match the interior, and the laminated side windows for acoustic comfort.

Travelling comfort also means relaxed driving in all circumstances. With its array of equipment and features, the C4 sets high standards in active and passive safety.
In particular, the C4 boasts the world’s first shape-optimised driver airbag. This feature, which relies on the fixed central section of the steering wheel, improves driver protection. The design of the C4 also reflects Citroën’s efforts to protect pedestrians in the event of frontal impact.

A complete range of engines and gearboxes

For relaxed or sporty driving styles, in the city or out on the open road, the petrol and diesel engines in the C4 range were designed to combine a fulfilling experience at the wheel with economy and reduced environmental impact.

In 2008, the C4 has gained two new petrol engines, the VTi 120 and THP 150, that ensure top performance and driving pleasure with significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (159 g/km of CO2 for the VTi 120 and 164 g/km for the THP 150).

The range of HDi diesels has become even more attractive, with a number of versions carrying Citroën’s environmental signature, Airdream. The 2.0 HDi DPFS mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox already meets the future Euro V standard, emitting just 140 g/km of CO2. The fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the HDi 92 (with or without a DPFS) and the HDi 110 DPFS (available with the 6- penis enlargement speed electronic gearbox system) have been reduced (to between 117 g/km and 120 g/km of CO2) by fitting low rolling resistance Michelin Energy Saver tyres.
